For the past 25 years, RESPEC has provided
engineering and field services to meet customers' on-site needs. RESPEC's field
services usually are completed by experienced staff members; the average
experience of those providing field services exceeds 10 years.

A range of field services is provided by RESPEC. General areas of our expertise
include:
-
Design, Installation, and Monitoring of Geomechanical Instrumentation Systems
-
In Situ Measurement of Stress and Hydrological Properties
-
Design and Installation of Subsidence Networks

Forensic Geotechnical and Geomechanical Assessments
RESPEC engineers and technicians have designed, installed, and maintained
thousands of instruments in a wide variety of ground conditions to monitor
excavation-induced disturbances, in both underground and surface
excavations. Depending on our customers’ needs, monitoring may include
measurement of absolute or differential ground movement, stress changes, blast
effects, hydrological changes or other physical parameters.
RESPEC can either locate and specify the proper vendor-supplied instruments or
design and manufacture for the instrumentation task. With expertise in data
acquisition, data management, and analyses, RESPEC can provide a complete
monitoring package to our customers and fulfill most monitoring requirements.
RESPEC has designed and conducted programs to measure in situ stress and
hydrological properties in drill holes in excess of 1,500 meters (5,000 feet)
deep. Our staff is experienced in the various well testing methods as well
as drilling program design and supervision. RESPEC personnel can provide
geological descriptions of the project site through literature reviews, surface
mapping, core logging, and geophysical logs.
