RESPEC recently signed a contract with the West River Water Development District to develop Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs) for the White River and the Little White River in South Dakota for both fecal coliform and E. coli bacteria. RESPEC will develop a Hydrologic Simulation Program Fortran (HSPF) model for the White River Watershed to predict bacteria loadings to assist in allocating loads to land use practices and evaluating implementation scenarios.
