Geographic Information Systems (GIS) form the basis
for storing, managing, and using both spatial and nonspatial information about
geographically related entities. RESPEC uses GIS to map and understand the
watershed, such as land use, topography, soils, waterbodies, and location of
manmade structures. In addition, RESPEC uses GIS with other systems, such as
environmental management and water modeling, to deliver maximum results. Our
GIS expertise includes
ESRI Arc Info,
Arc View, and AutoDesk. GPS (satellite-based Global Positioning System)
is used to facilitate surveying and field data collection.
