PRINCIPAL MINING ENGINEER

DENVER, COLORADO

Job Description: An internationally recognized engineering consulting and services company with domestic and international projects seeks experienced principal mining engineers in its Denver, Colorado, office. These positions require relevant training and experience in mining engineering and mine consulting. The applicants must have a broad knowledge and experience in mining. RESPEC’s current mining projects focus on limestone, coal, salt, and phosphates. Both domestic and international travel will be required for client development, visits to mine sites, and client and corporate meetings.

Qualifications: The successful candidates are expected to have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor of science degree in mining engineering (masters of science degree is preferred)
  • Professional Engineer designation
  • At least 15 years of relevant mining experience
  • Proven mining consulting experience
  • Current legal ability to live and work in the U.S.
  • Experience and ability to expand the business in other commodities is desirable.

In addition, the candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally in English. The ability to communicate fluently in Spanish is desirable.

Compensation: Salary depending on experience.
