Job Description: RESPEC is a professional consulting and services company that specializes in applying technology to create solutions for our clients. The RESPEC Denver office is actively seeking a civil or water-resource engineer who wants to specialize in stormwater-related planning and design projects. The successful candidate will work under the direction of project managers in the area of stormwater engineering.
RESPEC is seeking an individual that is pursuing the stormwater-engineering field. RESPEC uses the latest modeling software and develops in-house programs to apply our knowledge to provide a wide range of solutions. We enjoy flexible work hours and have an open office environment to share ideas.
Qualifications: The successful candidate must have a bachelor or master of science degree in civil or water-resource engineering and between 0 to 6 years of engineering experience. The candidate must have proven interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills. Expertise in stormwater planning, design, and drainage construction plan preparation along with floodplain analysis is preferred but not mandatory. Additional preferred qualifications include the following:
- EI certification
- Course work in hydrology and hydraulics
- Experience in drainage analysis, planning and design
- General experience with CAD
- Experience with HEC-RAS and CUHP/UDSWM
- Construction observation experience
- GIS knowledge
Compensation: Salary depends on experience and expertise. Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe benefit package comprising of medical, vision, dental, holidays, paid leave, 401(k) plan, ESOP, continuing education, and professional societies.
