Job Description: RESPEC, an internationally recognized consulting firm providing services in the areas of Mining & Energy, Information Technologies, and Water & Natural Resources, seeks a Chief Financial Officer to join this growing professional services company. This position requires relevant training and experience in accounting, finance, government contracting, and mergers and acquisitions. The position is located in RESPEC’s Corporate Headquarters in Rapid City, South Dakota. Travel to other company offices and meetings will be required.

Qualifications: The successful candidate is expected to have at least a bachelor of science degree in accounting and/or finance, and 10 years of experience in either corporate accounting or finance. Direct experience with Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOP), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs), Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), is preferred. Because face-to-face contact with management, project managers, employees, and members of the Board of Directors is required, the candidate must have both excellent interpersonal skills and effective writing and oral communication skills.

Compensation: Salary depends on experience and expertise. Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe-benefits package comprising of medical, vision, dental, cafeteria plan, holidays, paid leave, 401(k) Plan, ESOP, continuing education, and professional societies. RESPEC is a 100% ESOP-owned company, and employees are eligible for participation in the ESOP after a qualifying period.
