Senior Client Development Leader

Job Description:  RESPEC is a nationally recognized engineering consulting company seeking an experienced individual to lead our major pursuit and client development program in federal and regional markets for civil, water resources, and natural resource management sectors. The candidate will lead the planning, design, and implementation of a strategic marketing plan to increase RESPEC’s brand awareness, client acquisition and retention, and market share. This position will be located at our Roseville, Minnesota location.

Qualifications: The successful candidate must have at least a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related engineering field with at least 15 years of experience in the civil and/or stormwater-engineering field. Representative work experience should include some of the following successfully leading and growing a regional water resource practice:

  • Program management,
  • Business development,
  • Marketing program development,
  • Tactical and strategic planning

This position will focus on expanding RESPEC’s presence throughout Minnesota and the Midwest region, increasing market share where RESPEC currently has a market presence, and building a major pursuit and federal market client development program. Additional responsibilities include mentoring staff, assist with project delivery, and leverage RESPEC’s expertise to build business across all market sectors. Additional qualifications include the following:

  • Experience in portfolio management and strategic planning
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Expertise in developing marketing business plans that yield objectives

Compensation:  Salary depends on experience and expertise. Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe-benefits package comprising of medical, vision, dental, holidays, paid leave, 401(k) plan, Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), continuing education, and professional societies. RESPEC is a 100% employee-owned company and employees are eligible for participation in the ESOP after a qualifying period.
