RESPEC’s Data & Technology Solutions (DTS) business unit seeks a Director of Professional Services to oversee RESPEC’s IT consulting services. The location for this position is Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Successful performance on programs and projects is key to DTS; therefore, the Director of Professional Services should enter RESPEC with business, financial, and management acumen to oversee operations of a portfolio that includes large and multiyear IT services contracts and staff augmentation business in New Mexico.  

This hands-on manager, skilled in client interaction, will lead and direct daily sustainment of business operations, while enhancing partner/client relationships and pursuing organic growth opportunities. Responsibilities include personnel and resources management and recruiting. Enthusiasm, innovation, and skilled client interaction are required.

The successful candidate has technical familiarity with application development, data management, and information technology services.  Business and resources management skills and the ability to efficiently recruit and coordinate staff on multiple projects is required.

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Delivery and individual performance assessment. Ensure commitments are met, teams are successful, and professional development and continuous improvement are promoted.
  • Oversee a variety of tasks regarding tactics, opportunities, challenges, and issues of the contract and resource management processes.
  • Manage transition and closeout on new and existing contracts per regulations and policies.
  • Work with Human Resources and staffing partners for on-time, on-budget recruitment.
  • With financial systems and CRM, track budget and prepare or review labor, billing, revenue accrual, and financial reconciliation, forecasts, status and reports.
  • Develop annual budgets; ensure budget plan component targets are met.
  • Address performance or conduct issues.
  • Cover regular contract, team and or management meetings with DTS, principal consultants, program/project managers, and teams.
  • Act as a trusted resource by regularly attending status meetings and providing updates to key client program and project managers, procurement or buyers, and liaison contacts and partners.
  • Partner with business development, marketing, and technical SME’s to identify opportunities and support bids/capture and proposal efforts.
  • Work with business development, principal consultants and technical SMEs to develop basis of estimates for SOWs, to grow business and add clients.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of applicable contract and delivery management experience; demonstrated end-to-end government experience; understanding of New Mexico Statewide Price Agreements; strong communication, leadership, relationship, and collaboration skills. Some travel is required.

Compensation: Salary depends on experience and expertise.
