Civil Engineer - PE

Job Description: RESPEC, a nationally recognized engineering consulting company seeks an experienced individual to provide project engineering services at our Colorado Springs, Colorado location.  The work will focus on drainage, storm sewer design, flood control, stream restoration, detention ponds, bridge scour, and planning studies as well as residential lot layouts and site civil work for commercial and residential sites. Tasks that are required include all steps to take plans from receiving survey to final design (including preparing construction drawings using AutoCAD/Civil 3D while using multiple client standards and developing details and erosion-control plans).

Qualifications: The successful candidate must have at least a bachelor of science degree in a civil engineering field with 4 or more of years of experience and a Colorado Professional Engineering License or ready to sit for PE exam soon. Relevant work experience in the following areas is preferred:

  • Civil site and grading design
  • Developing and preparing drainage reports and stormwater design.
  • Modeling Experience with HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and ARC GIS
  • Utility design
  • Competent in Civil 3D
  • Construction plans and specifications production
  • Roadway/transportation design

Compensation: Typical salary range for this position is $65,000 to $85,000 and is commensurate with experience relative to the position. Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe-benefits package that consists of medical, vision, dental, holidays, paid leave, 401(k) Plan, Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), continuing education, and professional societies. RESPEC is a 100% employee-owned company and employees are eligible for participation in the ESOP after a qualifying period.
