Principal Consultant (Mine Infrastructure Lead)
Anchorage, AK - M-Mining
RESPEC, an internationally recognized engineering consulting company, seeks an experienced principal consultant located in our Anchorage or Fairbanks, Alaska locations.
The responsibilities for this position will be to direct and lead RESPEC’s growing business within Alaska, focusing on infrastructure planning and engineering in support of the mining industry.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to market and promote RESPEC’s services to the Alaskan mining industry and beyond
- Developing and managing technical project work, schedules, and budgets in concert with business objectives and constraints across multidisciplinary groups
- Providing project management support as part of a collaborative team
Required Qualifications:
The successful candidate should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in engineering in mechanical, civil, geological/geotechnical, or mining engineering from an ABET accredited university; and at least 20 years of related experience
- 10+ years in a technical lead of supervisory position at a mine operator, infrastructure construction firm, and/or an engineering design firm
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) license or Project Management Training preferred
Compensation: Salary depends on experience and expertise. Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe-benefits package that consists of medical, vision, and dental insurance; holidays; paid leave; 401(k) Plan and Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP); continuing education; and professional societies. RESPEC is a 100% employee-owned company and employees are eligible for participation in the ESOP after a qualifying period.
