Water & Wastewater Utilities

Founded in 1969, RESPEC delivers comprehensive, professional engineering services for private and municipal water utilities and wastewater systems. RESPEC’s Community Design Solutions team understands the big picture of water supply and the different components of obtaining legal rights and directing physical supply. Our certified professional engineers have over 30 years of experience in performing extensive water and wastewater services for residential, commercial, municipal, institutional, and industrial developments.

We assist communities in locating, supplying, pretreating, storing, and distributing water. Our core services include stormwater management, water and wastewater systems, ground water, hydraulic structures, legal, and other technical services. Our team works closely with new and existing developments. As cities and their infrastructure age, we also perform retrofits and redevelopment projects.

As specialists in the complexities of water law, RESPEC’s professionals have extensive experience in evaluating water rights, developing water augmentation plans, and determining consumptive use. Our team creatively and efficiently solves vital water supply and wastewater problems related to development, utilization, and conservation of water. We’ve completed over 100 water-rights engineering projects for public and private clients.

As demographic, climatic, and regulatory changes exert increasing pressure on water supplies, RESPEC’s team provides a wide range of consulting and engineering services (list) to help clients develop, install, use, and manage critical water and wastewater infrastructure with total quality assurance.

RESPEC’s water and wastewater utility capabilities are extensive. We’re proud to have long-time clients who have been with us for over 30 years. As client organizations change, RESPEC is often the one constant as an institutional historian—and the one thread that ties critical pieces of water law and infrastructure records to their present day.
