RESPEC Adds Kartorium Platform and Team to Expand Asset Management Capabilities

RESPEC has added the Kartorium software platform to its technology portfolio through an asset transfer, with the three Alaska-based experts behind the platform joining RESPEC’s Data & Technology Solutions team.

The Kartorium platform brings operational data, 3D site information, asset information, and technical documentation into one environment. A core capability is its visual twin, an interactive 3D representation of a site or facility that allows users to navigate spaces, locate equipment, view operational data, and access information associated with individual assets.

The addition expands RESPEC’s asset management capabilities and gives clients a more accessible way to use engineering, operational, and facility information throughout the life of their assets.

The platform has applications across mining, utilities, manufacturing, and facility operations. It can bring together information from operational and asset management systems, documentation repositories, GIS, 3D models, scanning, and LiDAR, giving operators, engineers, and maintenance teams a more accessible view of the information tied to a site or asset.

The technology has already been applied on complex industrial sites, including a mine restart where it supported engineering work and helped train incoming employees before they began working in the field.

The experts behind Kartorium are now part of RESPEC’s Data & Technology Solutions team and remain based in Alaska. The platform and related services will be available to RESPEC clients across the United States, giving RESPEC another way to help clients make engineering, facility, and operational information more useful throughout the life of their assets.
