Urban and City Streets
The RESPEC multispecialty transportation team has been trusted for decades to deliver superior urban roadway designs and solutions.
Our transportation team understands the stakes involved in working in extremely detailed, high-volume areas. Quality assurance and quality control are built into our process to ensure that our solutions are sustainable and constructable. Our team is highly skilled in redesigning and upgrading intersection layouts to improve every aspect of geometric design for safer, more efficient transportation. RESPEC engineers are experts at federal, state, and local codes and regulations and will design pedestrian facilities to meet Americans with Disabilities Act requirements. We take pride in turning over clear, well-defined plans to the construction team. Our projects are staffed for the long term so that the same engineers who designed the plans are available for construction support.
Our team is adept at managing the extensive multiagency coordination required for right-of-way impacts. We anticipate, coordinate, and mitigate disruptions to utilities, businesses, residences, and community assets. Community outreach is key to our process, and we work with local leaders and business owners early in the project to define business access and parking plans.
RESPEC’s experience and collaborative approach to shared success have grown exponentially since our staff became design engineers for one of the first roadway projects in Alaska to use the construction manager/general contractor (CM/GC) procurement model. Rehabilitating urban and city streets is no small undertaking.
Our clients can ensure that their next project is designed to last by partnering with the RESPEC transportation team.
RESPEC utilizes a variety of cutting edge technologies to enhance project delivery and add value to the final product. These tools can give our clients a more holistic view of their project than ever before possible, when compared to traditional methodologies.
