As part of Oldcastle Inc.’s due-diligence analysis, RESPEC assisted in reviewing the Cemex aggregates assets in the Tucson region. The review included examining the quarries with a focus on the reserves, geologic information, materials testing, and permitting. The site inspections also considered the current mining and processing activities. Special focus was conducted on the site reclamation and waste (including overburden and plant waste) disposal.
