Delivering Integrated Technical Services for Mining Operations and Investment Decisions

Long-Term Mining, Geology, and Regulatory Support for a National Producer

Eagle Materials operates at a scale where sound technical decisions have a direct impact on reliability, safety, and long-term value. As one of the largest U.S.-based cement producers, with eight plants supplied by company-controlled raw materials operations, and a significant wallboard producer with captive gypsum mines, Eagle Materials relies on consistent, defensible data to guide both daily operations and strategic growth.

RESPEC has partnered with Eagle Materials’ site teams and corporate leadership to provide integrated technical support across mining, geology, water resources, and regulatory compliance. Work included due diligence for major acquisitions, most notably the 2019 purchase of the Kosmos Cement Company cement plant and Battletown Quarry, as well as evaluations of sand and gravel resources in Colorado and Nevada. In Colorado, early identification of project risks, such as water and ditch rights, allowed our water rights specialists to directly support due diligence and reduce uncertainty before decisions were finalized.

When new U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) S-K 1300 disclosure requirements reshaped public reporting obligations, RESPEC helped Eagle Materials move from readiness to compliance. Teams completed gap analyses, collected and validated data, and prepared resource and reserve estimates for most cement and gypsum operations. This work included geologic modeling, pit optimization, mine planning, and economic evaluation, all documented in technical report summaries that supported clear, defensible disclosures.

Reliable Data and Regulatory Compliance for Sustainable Resource Development

RESPEC’s support has helped Eagle Materials make confident acquisitions, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain long-term resource stewardship, providing the technical foundation necessary to support sustainable growth and operational resilience across its U.S. operations.
