The Nordkalk Quarry provides limestone feed to the adjacent Finnsementti cement factory as well as Nordkalk’s processing plant that uses the “white stone” to produce white plaster and decorative panel markets. The project included confirming the actual limestone reserves available for production; identifying the optimum mining mode and plan; preparing a program to implement the optimized plans; and highlighting key short-term issues, which improve the long-term outlook.
