The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) selected RESPEC to provide support in developing and implementing programs to ensure compliance with the CDOT’s Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) stormwater permit. RESPEC is providing a variety of environmental and stormwater engineering services, including implementing a new watershed-based approach to water quality treatment of stormwater runoff from CDOT highways, revising CDOT’s template documents to comply with the new MS4 permit, and writing the update to the Permanent Water Quality chapter in the CDOT Drainage Design Manual.
