Construction Manager

Colorado Springs, CO - WNR

Job Description:  JDS-Hydro Consultants, a division of RESPEC, a nationally recognized engineering consulting company, seeks an experienced individual to provide project construction observation services at our Colorado Springs, CO, location. The work will focus on performing construction observation duties on various water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including treatment facilities, pipelines, pump stations, storage tanks, etc. Required tasks include:

  • Coordinating with client, contractors, and other field personnel
  • Performing field observations
  • Communication and record-keeping
  • Bidding processes and meetings
  • Processing contract paperwork
  • Reviewing submittals
  • Preparing closeout packages

This position would initially be temporary part-time with the potential to grow into a full-time position.

Qualifications: The successful candidate must have at least 4 years of experience in construction-related fields with the following preferred qualifications:

  • Understanding of construction methods for water and wastewater infrastructure
  • Ability to read and understand construction plans
  • Familiarity with construction specifications
  • Understanding of construction staking
  • Familiarity with software applications that aid in daily recording of site information (Microsoft Office applications)
  • Ability to produce clear markups for producing as-built drawings
  • Ability to communicate well with clients, contractors, and reviewing/permitting agencies
  • Colorado driver’s license

This professional should possess excellent communication skills and be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Compensation:  Typical hourly range for this position is $41.00 to $46.00.   Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown. The position is initially for temporary part-time employment, with the potential to evolve into a full-time benefitted position.
