Civil Engineer - Entry Level

Job Description: DeLisi Fitzgerald, Inc., a Division of RESPEC Company, LLC, is a multiservice consulting company specializing in land-use planning and civil engineering. We have an immediate employment opportunity for an early-career civil engineer. This position involves all aspects of residential and commercial land-development design and is a great career opportunity for a dynamic, energetic individual looking to grow in their profession while gaining valuable experience on a wide variety of projects.

Qualifications: The successful candidate must have a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering with a minimum of 2 years of consulting engineering experience. The candidate must have proven interpersonal skills as well as effective oral and written communication skills. Experience with permitting, earthwork, site grading, utilities, stormwater management, roadway design, and hydraulic calculations is preferred. Additional ideal qualifications include the following:

  • Possess Engineer Intern (EI) certification
  • Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D design software
  • Experience in developing construction plans and specifications
  • Knowledge in GIS
  • Knowledge in surveying
  • Ability to provide guidance for CAD technicians working on plan development
  • Experience with typical design software include WaterCAD, StormCAD & ICPR
  • Experience in project management and team coordination
  • Experience in construction observation.

Compensation: Salary depends on experience and expertise. Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe-benefits package that consists of medical, vision, and dental insurance, holidays, paid leave, 401(k) Plan, Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), continuing education, and professional societies. RESPEC is a 100% employee-owned company and employees are eligible for participation in the ESOP after a qualifying period.
