Civil Structural/Geotechnical Engineer
Job Description
The primary focus of the structural engineer is to provide support to civil and mining-related projects and perform structural analyses, assessments, and design-related tasks. Projects ranging from civil infrastructure, and surface or underground mining operations; including structural and geotechnical analyses of dams, tunnels, surface and underground infrastructure.
The structural engineer will also produce professional, high-quality, technical documents as deliverable work products to our clients. Successfully completing project work will require strong technical aptitude, well-developed interpersonal communication skills, familiarity with modern engineering software programs, and the willingness to seek guidance when appropriate.
The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of an experienced geotechnical engineering staff in these areas.

Qualifications
Candidates must have the following:
- Bachelor of science or master of science degree in civil engineer with a structural or geotechnical emphasis, or related field from an ABET accredited university
- 0-5 years of experience in related disciplines, or relevant coursework
- Working knowledge of structural software such as RISA, RAM, Enercalc, Woodworks, AutoCAD, Revit, Rocscience RS2, and/or other structural and geotechnical engineering software
- Successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE) and working towards or obtained a Professional Engineering (PE) registration
- Fundamental understanding of materials testing and constitutive models
- Excellent interpersonal skills and technical communication skills (both written and oral) and fluent in English.
