Student Surface Water Modeling Intern
Job Description
The intern will work under the direction of multiple Project Managers in the areas of surface water modeling, data analysis, and general problem solving.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be an engineering student in civil, environmental, or a related science field and have the following:
- Interest in assessing water quality challenges
- Strong computer skills, especially in using spreadsheets
- Experience or coursework with surface water modeling (e.g., HSPF, HEC-HMS, and/or WASP), geospatial analysis (e.g., ArcGIS), and computer programming (e.g., MATALB, Python, and/or R)
- Capability of doing field work
- Proven interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills
Additional Information
Compensation: Salary depends on experience and expertise. The typical salary range for this position is $20 to $25 per hour.
