Materials Lab Technician
Job Description
The responsibilities for this position include:
- Preparing rock test specimens using vertical mill, lathe, and surface grinder
- Inspecting and measuring rock test specimens using micrometers and vertical height gauge
- Photographing test specimens
- Unpacking, cleaning, and organizing rock core
- Palletizing boxes of rock core
- Support tasks and maintenance activities
- Record keeping
- Data entry using Microsoft Excel
On-the-job training will be provided as necessary. This position requires lifting, moving, and stacking core tubes and boxes weighing 60 pounds. The position will be 40 hours per week during normal business hours Monday through Friday.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds
- Experience with Office365 (Word, Excel, Teams)
- Excellent interpersonal and effective oral and written communication skills.
Additional Information
Compensation: Salary depends on experience and expertise, range range for this position is $20-25/hour. Compensation includes a comprehensive health, dental and vision benefits package. RESPEC is a 100% employee-owned company and employees are eligible for participation in the EPP after a qualifying period.
