We’re hiring a Federal/Government Sales Lead to help accelerate growth across our key areas of focus. This role is focused on accelerating RESPEC’s federal and government market growth in technology-driven professional services by shaping strategy, building a strong pipeline, and leading pursuits that expand federal/government clients and contracts. The position connects mission-driven client needs with RESPEC’s core technical capabilities, ensuring that innovative solutions align with agency priorities and drive impactful outcomes.

What You’ll Do:

  • Shape and lead growth strategies across current clients/contracts and across strategic, and new mission-driven partnerships and client targets.
  • Build a pipeline of related opportunities that align with our core capabilities and market focus.
  • Identify where our strengths meet future market sector and customer needs—and map out the path to pursue them.
  • Craft compelling win themes that clearly connect our offerings to mission value.
  • Establish and strengthen teaming agreements with trusted partners for competitive advantage.
  • Collaborate closely with business development, capture, and proposal teams to execute winning strategies.
  • Leverage industry relationships to open doors and support key strategic pursuits.
  • Drive both organic growth and new wins that create lasting impact.
  • Willingness and ability to travel nationwide as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree business, Marketing, Information Technology, consulting, business, or related field from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of ten years’ experience identifying, developing, and capturing contracts for and with federal and government clients and strategic partners, networking, and sourcing federal / government contracts (experience with HHS and health related agencies preferred)
  • A strategic hunter—someone who actively seeks out the right-fit opportunities and knows how to close
  • Proven ability to grow revenue through both existing contract expansion and net-new wins 
  • A big-picture mindset with the ability to execute on near-term opportunities
  • A strong industry network to support teaming and long-term growth strategies 
  • Experience within the government market, including Health IT and Data and Software Technology sectors
  • Deep understanding of how to align customer needs with technical and mission-based capabilities
  • Strong collaboration skills, especially working with BD, capture, and proposal teams on major pursuits.

Skills/Abilities

  • Be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as manage multiple priorities with competing priorities.
  • Proven ability to grow revenue through both existing contract expansion and net-new wins.
  • Possess a big-picture mindset with the ability to execute on near-term opportunities.
  • Leads development of Sales/Market strategy, including facilitating discovery and analysis of collaborative development sessions along with recommended approaches for of the Sales/Market strategy.
  • Ability to capture, present, own, and advocate for the strategy at internal levels including executive level. Strong collaboration skills, especially working with business development and analysis, capture, and proposal teams on major pursuits.
  • Responsible for pipeline tracking via RESPEC’s CRM (Salesforce), and keeping opportunities, clients, regular KPI’s, sales stages and client touch points documented.
  • Developing marketing collateral development in conjunction with the Marketing department, to create targeted messaging and campaigns.
  • Ability to utilize modern collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams.
  • Identifying opportunities and procurements in the market and familiarity with using GovCon tools and subscriptions and leveraging those for posting (e.g., OrangeSlices, GovTribe, etc.)
  • Proficiency in various office software programs such as Microsoft Office and other web-based technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to represent RESPEC professionally during virtual and in-person meetings and other venues as part of the role.

Additional Information

Compensation: Salary depends on experience and expertise. Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe-benefits package. RESPEC is a 100 percent employee-owned company and employees are eligible for participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) after a qualifying period.
