Drilling Engineer

Job Description

The primary responsibilities of the drilling engineer will be consulting of exploratory drilling, solution-mining, geothermal wells and disposal wells, complete the life cycle of projects, including project management and execution of project tasks, financial accountability and budgeting, and must be willing to travel 10-20% of the time. RESPEC supports a diverse range of mining and energy projects spanning the globe, offering a qualified candidate exposure to a dynamic mix of drilling projects with diverse clients.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Bachelor of science degree in petroleum, geological, or mining engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of drilling engineering experience
  • Strong technical background in well design and drilling program development and execution
  • Prior experience in AFE preparation, cost tracking, financial accountability, and procurement services
  • Strong client relationships and the ability to support business development efforts
  • Experience with completions engineering and design would be an asset
  • Professional license or the ability to achieve professional license

Compensation: Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. Compensation includes a comprehensive health, dental and vision benefits package. RESPEC is a 100% employee-owned company and employees are eligible for participation in the EPP after a qualifying period.
