Civil CAD Designer
Job Description
RESPEC seeks a Civil Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Designer located in our Fort Myers or Sarasota, FL, location.
The Civil CAD Designer will provide CAD support for the technical drafting of projects specific to the land development industry. Assigned projects will vary in size and complexity and be produced in an office team setting with project managers, design engineers, and other CAD operators.
Qualifications
Required:
- Approximately 10+ years of civil engineering experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D related to land development and municipal engineering projects
- Experience and considerable knowledge of computerized mapping and CAD techniques, practices, and procedures
Preferred:
- A technical-related associate degree
- GIS skills and experience with AutoTURN and other ancillary software
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to perform CAD modifications based on plan markups, sketched information, and verbal direction
- Experience working
- With a team on producing plans from survey to final design
- Efficiently in a high-volume, deadline-driven team environment
- Under the direction of multiple project engineers
- Independently and with others while working on multiple projects concurrently
- Ability to create plan and profile drawings from survey data
- Knowledge of code requirements and design standards specific to local geographic markets within Lee, Collier, Charlotte, and Sarasota Counties
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time-management skills
Additional Information
Compensation: Salary depends on experience and expertise. The salary range for this position begins at $35 per hour. Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe-benefits package. RESPEC is a 100 percent employee-owned company and employees are eligible for participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) after a qualifying period.
