Maintaining Safe Water for the Arapahoe County Water and Wastewater Authority (ACWWA)

For several years, RESPEC has been providing ongoing engineering support to Arapahoe County Water and Wastewater Authority (ACWWA) as their designated Authority Engineer. This support includes planning, designing, and maintaining their municipal water supply, distribution, and wastewater collection and treatment. RESPEC also advises on the ACWWA Flow Project, which is a $150 million water supply project, to ensure compliance with the Clean Water Act and Safe Drinking Water Act regulations.
RESPEC’s team evaluates accordance with rules and regulations that govern surface-water treatment, groundwater, water storage tanks, lead and copper levels, maximum contaminant level requirements, backflow prevention programs, and groundwater under the influence of surface-water (GUISW) compliance. We have also been instrumental in creating an asset management steering committee and policy statement, planning the SEMS software rollout, and implementing a process to ensure that all vendors and contractors provide the necessary information for maintaining and operating new assets.
RESPEC is an invaluable partner with ACWWA, providing support and ensuring the highest level of service and compliance. Our commitment to excellence, dedication to public health and the environment, and track record of successful projects make RESPEC an excellent ally for any organization in need of engineering support.
