RESPEC Chosen as Lead Consultant by Integra Resources for a Pre-Feasibility Study on the DeLamar Gold-Silver Project

In December 2020, RESPEC was chosen as the lead consultant by Integra Resources (Integra) for a pre-feasibility study on the DeLamar Gold-Silver Project in Idaho. This study, managed by the Mine Development Associates (MDA), a division of RESPEC, follows our Preliminary Economic Assessment for the Florida Mountain and DeLamar deposits and estimates 1.2 million ounces of contained gold and 46.1 million ounces of contained silver—a total of 1.8 million equivalent gold ounces.

Integra is now relying on RESPEC’s team of experts for the estimation of resources and reserves. RESPEC will provide geological services, open-pit and waste-storage facility designs, production scheduling, capital and operating cost estimations, and economic analyses. We will also conduct geotechnical analysis for pit highwalls. We have studied rock samples in our Rapid City laboratory, and engineers are presently working to understand the geotechnical strengths and weaknesses inherent to the site. This information will provide the open-pit design engineers with pit design parameters.

We are delighted to have Integra among our long list of mining clients and work with the interdisciplinary team, which comprises us and three other consultant companies: M3, Welsh Hagen Associates, and McClelland Laboratories Inc. Our prefeasibility study will also factor in trade-off studies, produced by Warm Springs Consulting LLC, that evaluate how the DeLamar can incorporate green, efficient, and sustainable solutions. Integra’s unique approach keeps safe, responsible, modern mining forefront and aligns with RESPEC’s long-standing and proven commitment to environmental stewardship.

RESPEC’s Tom Dyer, PE, with more than 23 years of experience as an engineer, is serving as the project manager for RESPEC’s scope of work on the study. Tom has also worked as a miner for 15 years prior to getting his degree in mining engineering. With his hands-on experience in underground and surface operations combined with his design ability and leadership skills, he will be working closely with Integra’s overall project manager to ensure that Integra’s DeLamar Gold-Silver project succeeds.

The prefeasibility study is expected to conclude in the fourth quarter of 2021. For more information, please see Integra’s Press Release.
