Water Resources Project Manager
Sarasota, FL - W-Water & Environment
RESPEC Company, LLC, a nationally recognized engineering consulting company, is seeking an individual to provide professional engineering services as part of our office in Tampa or Sarasota, Florida. The candidate will be involved with all types of planning, design, and specialty services related to public and private drinking water, wastewater, reclaimed water, and stormwater projects. Professional Engineering (PE) license is required.
Qualifications: At a minimum, the successful candidate must have the following qualifications.
- A bachelor of science degree in civil, environmental, or a related engineering field
- Experience with municipal and private clients in Florida
- 15-20 years of technical experience
- Professional engineer license in Florida or ability to obtain license within 6 months of start date
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Project experience including successful delivery of civil engineering planning studies, designs, and construction documents.
Additional preferred qualifications include the following:
- Experience in providing engineering services in Hillsborough, Manatee, Pinellas, and Sarasota Counties
- Familiarity with development and design processes that are specific to Tampa Bay Area Counties
- Regulatory/permitting submittals and processing
- Technical writing
- Client interface and communications
- Drinking water, wastewater, and/or reclaimed water design experience
- Practical application of various hydrology/hydraulics software (e.g. ICPR, InfoWater, WaterCAD, etc.)
- Experience in developing and guiding construction plan package preparation
- Experience with AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, and ArcGIS.

Compensation: Typical salary range for this position is $110,000 to $150,000. Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown. Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe-benefits package that consists of medical, vision, and dental insurance; holidays, paid leave, paid maternity and paternity leave, 401(k) Plan and Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), continuing education, and professional societies. RESPEC is a 100% employee-owned company and employees are eligible for participation in the ESOP after a qualifying period.
