Electrical Engineer (EIT)

Job Description: RESPEC, a nationally recognized engineering consulting company, seeks an electrical engineer to join our full-service engineering team. We design innovative world-class projects using state-of-the-art technologies.

This hands-on design position is within RESPEC’s Infrastructure business unit. The primary responsibilities include providing electrical design services in support of new construction and renovations. The electrical engineer will collaborate with architects as well as civil, structural, mechanical, water and wastewater, and fire protection engineers. This position offers a great career opportunity for a dynamic, energetic individual who wants to develop professionally.

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in electrical engineering
  • Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
  • 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Experience in designing electrical plans and specifications
  • Experience in construction administration and observation
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD MEP and/or Revit
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word and Excel)
  • Experience with lighting photometric calculations and SKM PowerTools (beneficial)
  • Self-motivated
  • Detail- and team-oriented
  • Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation: Typical salary range for this position is $60,000 to $75,000. Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and may not be within the shown range. We offer a comprehensive fringe-benefits package that consists of medical, vision, and dental insurance; holidays; paid leave; 401(k) Plan and Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP); continuing education; and professional societies.
